Detailed below are the data security services currently available for end of life devices.
These are subject to change in line with technological advancements ensuring Technodocs is always at the forefront of data security technology.
Technodocs Inbound Machine Assessment – Price: FOC (DSSD)
Service level only applicable to Technodocs manufactured devices
As a standard where customers decline any higher service offering Technodocs will provide the below ‘DSSD’ (Chargeable Data Security Services Declined) service free of charge to all returning Technodocs manufactured customer devices. This service provides a standard data overwrite however does not guarantee that residual data on the device is beyond recovery via specialist software:

- Device memories cleared via factory service modes
- Residual paperwork removal

Technodocs Data Cleansing – Price: On application (SECURE30)
Service level only applicable to Technodocs manufactured devices
In addition Technodocs are also able to offer a fully certified chargeable data security service to our customers for additional peace of mind. This service renders all residual data on the device beyond recovery whilst providing certification evidencing completion of the service.

Certified in accordance with HMG Infosec Level 5 security classification
- Full cleanse of HDD using specialist licensed equipment
- NV RAM memory fully cleared using Technodocs Japan developed tool
- Interior and exterior customer documentation audit and destruction
- Drum cleansing to remove any latent imagery
- Certified destruction of any components failing the above processes
- Certification validating service performance for both full machine and HDD cleansing dispatched to customer and maintained on secure server by Technodocs UK
- Physical tag confirming data cleansing attached inside device

When completing a Contract Termination & WEEE Collection Request form our customers are able to select the service levels of Technodocs Data Cleansing and Hard Drive Removal for returning devices allowing them to specify by serial number if this level of data security service is required for each individual device prior to collection being carried out.
